Responsible trading for a changing energy landscape
Noura Energy is committed to responsible commercial practices across the full trading chain — from how energy is sourced to how it is transported.
The energy sector carries inherent environmental responsibilities. As a trading company, Noura Energy recognizes that our choices — in sourcing, in logistics, and in counterparty selection — contribute directly to the environmental footprint of the trade flows we facilitate. We take this seriously.
Sustainable Transportation
Low-Emission Vessel Selection
Noura Energy prioritizes engagement with carriers operating modern, fuel-efficient vessels that meet or exceed current IMO emissions standards. We favor counterparties with documented commitments to fleet decarbonization and verified emission reduction programs.
Route and Logistics Optimization
Efficient routing reduces voyage distances, fuel consumption, and associated emissions. Our logistics coordination applies optimization principles to minimize unnecessary transit miles and avoid idle waiting time at ports and anchorages.
Port and Terminal Standards
We select loading and discharge terminals with demonstrated environmental management systems in place. This includes modern vapor recovery systems, containment infrastructure, and operational certifications that reflect responsible environmental practice.
Documentation and Compliance
Every shipment managed by Noura Energy is accompanied by complete regulatory documentation. We maintain full compliance with applicable environmental regulations governing the maritime transportation of crude oil and petroleum products.
Responsible Sourcing of Oil and Oil Products
Supplier Due Diligence
We engage only with producers and suppliers who operate under recognized regulatory frameworks and environmental management standards. Supplier evaluation includes an assessment of operational practices, environmental certifications, and commitment to responsible production.
Preference for Certified Production
Where available, Noura Energy seeks to source from facilities that carry independent environmental certifications or operate under national and international frameworks that impose enforceable environmental obligations on production activities.
Flaring and Venting Reduction
We give preference to supply sources with demonstrated programs for reducing associated gas flaring and venting during oil extraction and processing. Methane management at the production level is a material factor in our supplier assessment process.
Water and Land Management
Responsible oil production encompasses the management of produced water, land use impacts, and site remediation obligations. We consider the quality of environmental stewardship at the production site level when evaluating supply relationships.
Measured commitments, consistent application
Noura Energy does not make broad claims about energy transition timelines or speculative environmental outcomes. What we commit to is clear and measurable: we apply responsible criteria to every supply and logistics decision within our operational scope.
We work with suppliers who demonstrate genuine environmental accountability, and we select carriers and logistics partners whose operational standards reflect the seriousness with which we approach our environmental obligations.
This approach — disciplined, transparent, and grounded in verifiable practice — is consistent with how we operate across all aspects of our business.
